Christmas Open House Dec.1 and 2, 10 am to 5 pm

A few new Christmas Projects to check out at Folktales' Christmas Open House!  "Baker's Dozen Holiday Ornies" by Primitive Gatherings...Not quite finished-a work in progress.
Where does time go???  The pattern is $15.00.

These little "Mini Mittens" and  "Mini Stockings" are from Penny Lane Primitives.  The patterns are $10.00 and the pattern with all the felt and ribbon to make either set is $15.95.  I just love these!  A great  way to try wool applique to see if you enjoy it, before moving on to bigger projects!
Just a peak at some of the fun things at the shop!

This is "Sleighbells", my newest finished Christmas Quilt from Crabapple Hill Studio.  Such fresh, crisp colors!  Certainly makes me feel festive!  The pattern is $30.00.  the fabric kit with backing is $175.00.  The floss is $15.00.
Nikki Crisp quilted this one.  She did a fabulous job!
This stocking pattern is from "Heart to Hand".  Santa and Rudy are cotton and flannel with wool applique.
They were a lot of fun to do!
Just finished stitching on the cuffs tonight!
This sweet Snowman panel is pre-printed for you to embroider!        Jo Baner did the quilting on this one and she did a fabulous job!
 Both this quilt and "Sleighbells"
are much more impressive when seen in person!
I guess you will just have to stop by for some Christmas Treats and Hot Apple Cider to see them this weekend!

This is a fun and FAST rag quilt from Nortcott.  It is the fastest rag quilt I have ever made!  I think it would look lovely in other flannel fabrics, as well.  Speaking of which...I just got some beautiful floral flannels in ...I might have to give them a try with this pattern.  It is a free download at Northcott's website called "Cozy Up".
I sure hope you get a chance to stop by on Friday or Saturday...but if not, all these new projects will be in the shop until after Christmas.

The Whatcom County Quilt shops have a fun
"Mystery Quilt Block" for you!  I will be showing off my basket of goodies for the winner SOON!

I (finally) finished a sample of Art to Heart's new book series, "On Wander Lane".  It was SO fun to make, I just wanted to keep on going!  We have all 12 books available at the shop, and a full line of her fabrics to make the magic happen!

This is a fun jelly roll quilt from Villa Rosa.  I used Clothwork's "All Hallow's Eve" fabric, with a black Minkee backing.  The finished quilt is 57" x 76".  Sold separately the pattern is just $2.00.
GREAT way to use a Jelly Roll!
This Pattern is also a $2.00 pattern from Villa Rosa!  Sews up quickly for an Autumn table runner that can grace your table from now through Thanksgiving!

This is a "Cheater" Panel from Maywood Studio's "All Through the Night.  The fabric line is from Bonnie Sullivan's "Autumn Harvest " flannel fabric line.  The table runner kit is $15.00 and includes the backing, but not the pattern or panel.  The panel is part of the "Autumn Harvest" panel.

This is the main panel from the "Autumn Harvest" fabric line.  It is SUPER EASY with just 3 fabrics!  The pattern is $9.00 and the kit, with backing, is $69.95.  You definitely have time to whip this one out to add to your Autumn decor!
This is the quilt made from Clothwork's
"All Hallow's Eve" fabrics.  The kit is $66.95.  The pattern, which would be great for many different panels, is $9.00

I hope this change of seasons finds you somewhere cozy stitching and sewing up new things for the year!  I have a few Christmas Quilts out for machine quilting, so the next time I blog,
I might have them back to show you!
I hope you are enjoying this change of season as much as I am.  I LOVE the sunshine and long days of summer, and then I find myself ready for the cozy fireplace days of Autumn, with the wind gusting and the leaves falling. Sweater Weather for sure!
Whatever Season you are in, I hope it is a good one!

A few new things...

This is a new quilt that I designed using a Wilmington Fabrics 2 1/2" strip pack.  It was great fun and I made it to honor all the people who are striving to keep Ukraine free from Soviet rule.  I am working on getting the pattern fine tuned and then I will make kits.  Wouldn't it be a great quilt to take on a picnic?

I LOVE how this one turned out!  It is also from a Wilmington Strip pack.  I used a pattern called "Metro Rings".  It finishes at 57" x 76".  Tracy Fisher did an amazing job on the quilting!  The kit is $175.00 and includes the backing.  There is a special ruler needed that is sold separately, called the "Quick Curve Ruler". It is $26.00.

Deb Strain designed this fabric line for MODA.  The pattern, called "Family Garden" is $10.00.  The kit is $129.00 with backing included.  Nikki Crisp Quilted this one with meandering roses and leaves.  It really suits the quilt!  The finished quilt is 54" x 66".  There are several other patterns designed with this fabric line in the shop.

Here are a few fresh new Christmas lines from Wilmington Prints

That is it for today!  I have a few new Fall fabric lines, and 2 throws and a table runner for Autumn/Halloween being quilted by Nikki right now.  I will post photos when they are finished.  I have also been working on several wool projects and will post pictures of those as they get finished.  Now I am headed to Birch Bay on this glorious sunny Sunday afternoon with my 4 granddaughters to see just how sandy and muddy we can get!
